The restlessness of nature

A Note on ‘Howl’

I wanted these pieces to convey those parts of our day which are overlooked, looking up at the sky and seeing a robin or a crow sat in a tree on your way to the shop.

Such as with He whispered winter placing a small and common British bird in the centre. Or the trees we almost forget are there but have a unspoken presence all the same. These pieces also convey themes of temporality, permanence, the link between nature and emotion.
